Landbird migration remains stalled with a small number of blackbirds and
Robins showing but no new arrivals. Canada Geese are numerous – one Snow
Goose as well as a few Tundra Swans.
A small number of Rough-legged Hawks and a couple of Harriers.
The large number of Snowy Owls reported last week
At 7:00 pm this evening there were perhaps a couple of dozen geese on the pond
at the Trisan Centre; same at 7:45 pm. But in the next 10 or 15 minutes
hundreds arrived, and although the Barnacle was not seen arriving we were able
to pick it out on the water while there was (barely) enough
A pair of red-tails are building a nest on the south-east corner of the belfry
of the historic Victoria church at Medland and Annette Street, Toronto. It is
maybe 80 feet up, but clear views and the action will only improve. They often

The goose is continuing as of 2:50pm in the pond at 6665 19th Sideroad,
Schomberg. Currently not in view as it is hugging the bank closest to the road.
