There is 1 American White Pelican currently on Abitibi River in Iroquois Falls
(Cochrane District) in Northern Ontario. It was found by Dwayne Hill this
morning and we were just able to relocate it late afternoon. It is on the
rocks on the shore of Abitibi River with a group of Double-crested
Kayo- Many Birders may not know this but if they go to their local Canada
Post office and purchase a "Duck Stamp" these monies go directly to Marsh
habitat.
Best investment for only $20 bucks and you get a collector's stamp which we
have seen increases in value.
Win win!

suggests if Birders, Environmentalists, Hunters and Anglers joined forces
that this make up 60 % of the voting population?

Duck and other wildfowl hunters fund almost 100% (probably 99.5%) of the
conservation efforts in North America and are almost the only effective
lobbyists as well, so there's another difference or two there.
