Today Jean Iron and I observed a rare "Yellow" Palm Warbler (eastern
subspecies hypochrysea) in the Wet Woods at the base of Tommy Thompson Park
(Leslie Street Spit). This rarer of the two subspecies in Ontario breeds
mainly east of Ontario into Atlantic Canada.

Directions: From Don Valley Parkway and Gardiner Expressway, take Lake Shore
Blvd east to Leslie Street. Turn right going south to base of park at Unwin
Ave. Parking just past Unwin on right. Wet Woods south of parking lot.
Yellow Palm seen at back end of woods. Rubber boots recommended.
