At 5 PM on 21 Apr, a Black Vulture was standing in a field with cattle
just west of the Forest Road and south of Egremont Road. It then flew
and was last seen at 5:10 soaring/gliding north over Egremont Road about
2 km west of Forest Road. Several photos taken while standing and flying
show grey head, white wing patches at the wing tips, and short tail.
Directions: from Hwy 402 take Forest Road (# 21) north about 1 km, turn
west on Egremont Road (county road 22). However, the bird is now
probably far away from the location where it was seen.
