Hello everyone,
I have recently receive notification and photos that a Boreal Chickadee has
been present at the Leslie St. Spit for the last few days. No word on whether
it was seen today.
It has been seen between the second last and last speed bumps before the
Lighthouse, on both sides of the road and has followed a group of Black-capped
Chickadees. One does not have to go off the road or paths to see it.
Good luck,Garth
Directions: The Leslie Street Spit, aka Tommy Thompson Park is located at the
foot of Leslie St. south of Lakeshore Blvd. in Toronto. Park and walk along the
main road (spine rd.) towards the end. I understand that the pedestrian bridge
has closed during the week so be aware that you may need to take the outer
(endikement road) to get out to where the bird has been seen.
