Do You Have Observations of Late Season Chimney Swifts? Bird Studies Canada's 2013 SwiftWatch season is nearing its end as most Chimney Swifts have left Ontario on their long migration to South America. As part of the 2013 monitoring program Ontario SwiftWatch is trying to better identify when and where late season swifts are observed and which roosts provide important late season habitat.
If you observed Chimney Swifts in August or in early September please let us know! If you observed Chimney Swifts entering a roosting Chimney please report them to the Ontario SwiftWatch data entry portal<https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/OntarioSwiftWatch>. Chimney Swifts observed in flight can be submitted to www.eBird.ca<http://www.eBird.ca> . Ontario SwiftWatch<http://www.birdscanada.org/research/speciesatrisk/chsw/> was undertaken with the financial support of the Government of Canada through the Department of the Environment, the Government of Ontario, and TD Friends of the Environment Foundation.
