The bird is currently being seen from the north platform of Cranberry
Marsh. Scope is definitely required. Most of the open water is frozen, it’s
hanging around with a group Canada geese. Patience is required.
Cranberry Marsh is in Halls Road south, Whitby.
A male Eurasian Wigeon is currently being seen from the south platform of
cranberry marsh on Halls Road South, Whitby. While scope isn’t absolutely
necessary it is recommended. Bird is swimming in and out of the weeds to
the north of the platform.

Whitby, Ontario
The long staying Eurasian Wigeon was seen today on Lake Ontario
just west of Thickson's Point. It is hanging out with a flock of Gadwall
and American Wigeon's.
Directions:
To reach Thickson Point, take Hwy 401 to exit 412
