The journal NORTH AMERICAN BIRDS will soon be digital (starting with the issue that covers Fall Migration 2012).
In the meantime, the most recent issue is currently online and is available FREE to all readers. Every issue covers all regions of North America, but the current issue online contains several sections that will be of particular interest to Ontario birders: 1) Ontario Spring Season Report for 2012 -- compiled and written by Alan Wormington, it provides a comprehensive overview of sightings from last spring; plus (9) colour photos of rarities are included. 2) The "Changing Seasons" written by Editor Ned Brinkley -- an analysis of spring events across North America; fabulous reading, and some fabulous photos too, including (3) from Ontario. 3) A major paper on Kirtland's Warbler -- covers the spring and fall migrations of Kirtland's Warbler in North America, and ALL Ontario reports of the species are listed. To access this issue, go here: http://nab.aba.org You can flip through the issue page-by-page, or you can download the entire issue as a PDF (via an icon in the menu at the top of the page). General information on North American Birds, and how to subscribe, can be found here: http://www.aba.org/nab/ Note that when the journal goes 100% digital, it is anticipated that the subscription price will be lowered. -- --- Mark Cranford ONTBIRDS Coordinator Mississauga, ON mark.cranf...@ofo.ca 905 279 9576 _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
