Weather: Mostly cloudy early with even heavier clouds in the middle of the day and eventually clearing skies by the afternoon. Temperatures 10-15 C. Winds very light out of the southwest for the majority of the day increasing in intensity and shifting to the east/southeast in the last few hours of the count. Raptor Observations: A pretty quiet day overall. Birds of the day were two light Rough-legged Hawks that came through within 15 minutes of each other. Non-raptor Observations: Today I saw my first Eastern Bluebirds and Tundra Swans from the tower. Some very impressive flocks of blackbirds are forming and passing the tower in the morning, and American Crows are also starting to move in good numbers.
