Observation start time: 07:00:00
Observation end time: 16:00:00
Total observation time: 9 hours

Official Counter: Cindy Cartwright

Observers: Bob Hall-Brooks

Visitors:
A few visitors from the St Clair and Windsor areas.

Weather:
Little to no wind from the northwest, south, southwest, etc. Heavy clouds
with threatening rain to blue skies.

What a confusing day - no wonder the raptors stayed put.

Raptor Observations:
Only 5 species today and it was like pulling teeth to get them. The
highlight was an immature PG out over the marsh that was flying so slowly
(relatively speaking) that our first impression without bins was 'must be a
harrier'. Bob and I were both surprised when we looked at the bird through
our bins.

If there was a migration today, it was well north of us. The only option on
a day like this is to enjoy the scenery and the company, and hope for
better winds tomorrow.

Non-raptor Observations:
A quiet day for all species due to weather

Predictions:
More sunshine and south winds. Likely to be very much like today.
