Snowy near Strathroy - Horned Lark Movement

I had a Snowy at dusk along Cty Rd 22 just east of Cty Rd 81 which is not far from Strathroy.

Today there was a good movement of Horned Larks in the southwest which included both overwintering birds and early migrants in mixed flocks. Many flocks numbering one to three dozen and singing were encountered on roads between London and Pinery Provincial Park. I had a good look at numerous individuals and the flocks consisted principally of the migrant subspecies. Spring is on the way.
