I birded the park today from 2:00 to 5:00 pm and the Western Grebe was in its usual spot off the mouth of the marina lagoon. The juvenile male Harlequin Duck swimming and diving near the end of rock jetty on the very eastern side of the park (the outlet of the pond). Also 432 Red-necked, 6 Horned and 1 Pied-billed Grebe. This seems like an usually high number of Red-necked Grebes for March; my previous high count for March as 45 of Rattray Marsh on 26 March 2008.

Directions: of the south end of Kipling south Lakshore.
