A Western Grebe was seen and photographed off Whimbrel Point at 5:30
pm. It was swimming diving at times relatively close to shore but
after each dive moving progressively further east until it was out of
site 30 minutes later. Spotted by Ani Kuk and seen by Peter Sproule,
Marsh Duggan and I at the same time.

Directions: the park is located south Lakeshore Boulevard off the
south end of Kipling ... the road turns into Colonel Smith Drive.
Continue south to last parking lot and take the main trail at the
cul-de-sac that ends the road to a peninsula with large post with sign
"Whimbrel Point" and an adjacent bench.
