I phoned the Central Lake Ontario Conservation Authority this afternoon and
spoke with one of their wildlife specialists about the Mountain Bluebird. They
were appreciative that I called and told me that they were aware of the bird's
presence and are happy that people are coming to see and enjoy it. With that
said, they emphasized that people are to stay on the trails, the land is owned
by them and they can charge people with trespassing if they are not on the
designated trails. They will be monitoring Lynde Shores this weekend. Also be
very careful about parking, there is actually no designated parking on that
road except for the two locations near the trails. Have a great time, hope
everyone sees the bird and respects it and the conservation area.
