Posting for Sara and Ian Miron - they just had a Ross’s Goose on the lake at
the base of Gordon Street. The bird flew north possibly to the soccer fields on
Bayly at Gordon.
You can exit the 401 at Lakeridge and go south to Bayly and east to Gordon.

Our birding group was just treated to a spectacular view of an adult gray
morph Gyr hunting Mallards. It was a beast of a bird; essentially
raven-sized. We are on the Kingston ferry, heading over to Wolfe Island.
The bird split the Mallard flock right in front of us! It was unseccesful
in its hunt
For all of those who want it for the year, or missed it last (me), the
Townsend's Solitaire that MacNeal found last November still continues
today. I haven't seen any updates on this listserv since Dan refound it on
the 16th, but I thought I'd let people know. It seems to be most reliable

About 4:40 p.m. I had a juvenile white morph Gyrfalcon fly past me at Thickson
Point going due east over the lake. This late in the day one has to figure that
this bird was headed for an overnight roosting site and I watched it fly
straight toward the Darlington Nuclear
