Yesterday Bob Tyler and I birded Ward’s Island and a small part of Algonquin
Island and though migration has picked up some it’s slow but following are
some of the birds we found.
Great Egrets, Osprey, Merlin, 30+ Black-bellied Plovers flying west overhead,
7 Hummingbirds, Belted Kingfisher,
A total of 15 seen today two earlier and a flock of 13 just now. A couple of
Red necked phalaropes as well. Good conditions here today,

Turkey Vulture
The Whistling Duck which went missing for a few days and was previously
seen near Hillman Marsh and Leamington Harbor has turned up at a new
location which I believe it hasn’t been seen before at the Sturgeon Creek
Marina which is accessed as you drive south from Leamington towards Point
Pelee
Hello Ontbirders,
I have to change the date of the OFO outing that I am leading this month as
I will be in Greece. Instead of September 8th, the hike will be on
September 22nd. We will follow the same game plan as originally posted.
