Hello fellow birders,
I have been checking the sod farms & fields between Alliston & Beeton 3 - 4
times a week in the last few weeks. There were a few black bellied plovers on
the 11th line, on the south side just east of the Tottenham Rd a week ago. The

Long time! In the near constant downpour today, I had a lone, calling
WHIMBREL fly over the Spruce Bog Boardwalk parking lot. Normally, Algonquin
is mediocre for any shorebird, but this especially dry year has created
some suitable habitat, and especially during heavy rain, shorebir

Unsettled weather has brought down some shorebirds this morning, at Shirley's
Bay there were 130+ peep including 3 White-rumped and 1 Baird's; 7 Whimbrel
circled over several times but did not land. Also present were 6 species of
swallow, Chimney Swift and 1 Caspian Tern.

Surprised to find a mini fallout this morning at lamton Arena Park. A olive
sided flycatcher was hawking for insects next to the parking lot.The bird
presented great views from a perch that was unusually low for this species.
Additionaly at the western edge overlooking the Humber river anoth
