The first flush of spring migrants was associated with sustained very mild
temperatures during the last four days and resulted in sightings of European
Starling on the 8th; Canada Goose and Common Merganser on the 9th;
and Snow Bunting, Common Grackle and Brown-headed Cowbird today.

I have a dentist app't tomorrow about 9 and may be able to get the 10.30 ferry
over to try. I have never seen more than a single WFGO in this area. They may
move on but it is worth a try.

The GYRFALCON was seen on the 5th at the Laflèche Landfill east of Casselman.

At about 11am the 8 (not 7) Greater White-fronted Geese moved south by about
another 500m. There they intermingled with approximately 1000 Canada Geese
and were harder to pick out. Visibility has also decreased with fog and rain
becoming heavier.
Directions: Wolfe Island is reached by a free ferry

Hi folks, I've just located 7 Greater White-fronted Geese on Wolfe Island. They
are on 5th Line, about 500 m south of Reed's Bay Road in a lightly flooded corn
field with Canada Geese and 3 Snow Geese.
