For most of this spring, migrating birds have arrived at Presqu'ile
Provincial Park more or less on schedule. Such arrivals are welcome, of
course, and have continued this week, but do not really surprise anyone
familiar with the chronology of bird migration in this area. On the

No exceptional birds were seen this week. Most notable were a ROSS’S GOOSE near
Frank Kenny on the 30th, a
Highlights from Pelee Island today include 5 White Pelicans flying over the
Pelee Island Winery, a Least Bittern and 4 Eastern Bluebirds at Fish Point
(sw corner of island), and a Red-shouldered Hawk near the north shore of
the island. A Tufted Titmouse was reported from the East Beach Campground.

A few interesting birds have been found today around the park, although
most birders are still finding it very slow.
The White-winged Dove was reported again at 17104 Lakeshore Rd.
Prothonotary Warbler was seen again on Tulip Tree Trail as well as on
Bennett Rd.

Had a very good assortment of Warbler Golden -wing, Blue -wing Cape May Bay
-breathed etc, also had two Sandhills flying south over the Tip.

This afternoon at approximately 2:05 I found a White-eyed vireo on the east
side of the Darlington Nuclear Trail. The bird stayed low (10-15ft) for a full
3-4 minutes while it fed on midges, which allowed me to enjoy some crippling
looks. I could clearly see its yellow spectacles and flanks and

Hi Again,
the Gyr Falcon fly over the observatory again at 12:14 just as we were
closing the nets, it was heading SW towards the harbour so it is obviously
still in the area.

We are finally up to double digit numbers for warblers today with 17 species
being reported in Point Pelee. Unfortunately the Grace's Warbler seen yesterday
was not one of them.

Hi All,
three of us just had a grey Gyr Falcon fly over the harbour at 10:25 from
the SW and then over the observatory, it headed to the north but hasn't
been seen since so this is a heads up that it may be seen in the county
somewhere.

There are a few new birds in the park today, with at least 9 species of
warbler being seen and a few new birds like Solitary Sandpiper, Swainson's
Thrush and Lincoln's Sparrow. Birds are fairly hard to find though, with
the north end of the park seeming to be somewhat more
