It is no surprise that summer doldrums continue in Ottawa, given that the summer
solstice occurred this week.
Very little has changed since last week in the bird life at Presqu'ile
Provincial Park. Nevertheless, one or two sightings have got people
wondering whether the spring migration will ever end. Meanwhile, as the
nights get longer (have you noticed?), birders begin to anticipate early
fall migra
Clive Goodwin found an adult Arctic Tern among Common Terns on the east pier of
Cobourg harbour around 4.30pm this afternoon, Thursday, June 23, and it was
still present at 5.15pm.
It is with a few Common Terns with a backdrop of several Caspians on the
concrete about half way out on the barric
