The best bird of the week was a BLUE-WINGED WARBLER, seen briefly in a back
yard in Nepean. Other good birds were a EURASIAN
The fall bird migration at Presqu'ile Provincial Park was in full swing
on the weekend, when dozens of birders were present to enjoy it. Since
then, a diminished number of birders (those who don't have to keep
working/school hours) are still finding lots of migrants representing
species

Black Vulture
Still lots of Jaeger action including 1 Pomarine Jaeger in a group of 8
Jaegers. Other highlights include Hudsonian Godwit, Black-bellied Plover,
Sabine's Gull. Earlier this morning a Red-headed Woodpecker was seen near
the beach gleaning insects.
No sightings of the Shearwater this afternoon
Have had a couple reports from the beach this morning. There was a likely
sighting of the shearwater again around 10. A juvenile Black-legged
Kittiwake gave good views. Lots of Jaegers today.
Not sure where the rain stands for this afternoon.

Was on the grass around 8:30 this morning still. It's been about a week now.
To reach Bayfront Park, take Bay St N, Hamilton past the rail lines.

At about 9:00 am this morning I saw two snow geese with a flock of Canada
geese. They were in a field near the intersection of Brock Rd. (County Road 1),
and Webb Rd., north of Claremont. To get there, take Brock Rd. north from
Pickering, through the intersection of Brock and County Road 5,
Haven't seen any posts.Brandon, Barb, and I had the shearwater around 820 briefly following 2 Jaegers west, but have not seen it since.There is good activity here. 5-7 parasitic 1 long-tailed 1 red-necked Phalarope Sent from my BlackBerry 10 smartphone
