A road-killed moose has been placed in the Sunday Creek Bog again this year.
It can be seen from the Visitor Centre viewing deck, especially with the
telescope provided there. The carcass had not attracted the expected birds
and mammals by today, but that may change soon.

There were no real highlights this week, but there was a late report of 4
BOREAL CHICKADEE on the 2nd on Trail 3 off Camp
At 3:15pm today I noticed two birds under our front feeders that I didn't
recognize.
Lapland Longspurs!
A new yard bird for us and a first time seeing this bird ever!
They fed close to eachother, on the ground under the feeders for approx 20
minutes.
We are located just off Hwy #35, 8 kms north
Highly variable weather conditions at Presqu'ile Provincial Park have
given rise to highly variable success rates for visiting birders. On
good days, many species, including some that are uncommon, can be found.
MUTE SWANS now number well over 400, approaching the numbers that were
present
Greetings: A Northern Shrike made an appearance behind JR's restaurant on
Telephone Road in Brighton not 90 minutes ago. I have not seen a Shrike in
years so it was a real treat to see this one. Anyone in Brighton will know
where JR's is located.
