Festival of Flight; Wood warblers were the star attraction today and good
sightings lasted throughout the afternoon. Both Bennet Rd and Spicebush
Trail were great places to be dazzled. Bennet Rd is closed to vehicle
traffic and the park has benches spaced along the way so you can sit back
and rest
Ontario birders,
An update of the birds observed in the Long Point area to May 15 is below. In
addition to all the expected species highlights include: Eurasian Collared
Dove, Cassin's Sparrow, Harris's Sparrow, Summer Tanager and Yellow-headed
Blackbird.

Hello birders
At 12:45 my wife Diana and I had a female Blue Grosbeak at the cactus field
and at 8:30 a male Cerulean Warbler just south of the tram loop at the tip.

Yellow-rumped and Blackpoll warblers are being seen so that means
everything in between is possible as well. Spice-bush Trail and Bennet were
good this morning with both Cerulean and Hooded Warblers. Also on Spicebush

Great weather greeted birders today. Another sunny day in the park! Though bird
numbers were somewhat low, there was a good selection. The highlight of the day
so far is a female BLUE GROSBEAK photographed and still being in the Cactus
Field.
At the tip, a flock of RUDDY TURNSTONE and another
Have redound the female blue grosbeak I just reported. In the south end of the
cactus field in a very dry spot. 10:30. May14

I (obviously) do not use ONTBIRDS much, because I did not know that there could be such a delay in messages being delivered (it is possible it was routed via the US [?] since I sent it from the middle of Lake Eire).
In any event, I apologise for not making it clear - the bird was found
Bird is still here this morning, calling somewhat frequently. Kelly and I will
leave the side gate open shortly for anyone who missed it yesterday. Please

Found this morning at Sheridan Point at 0820. Was foraging and singing vigorously in bushes on th SW side of Sheridan pt. Road, just opposite the Vin Villa gate.To reach Sheridan Point road, from West Dock drive about 6 km due N on West Shore Rd, and turn left just past the Anchor and Wheel
