As of yesterday afternoon, the Slaty-backed Gull was still visiting the
North Bay landfill site, located on Sand Dam Rd, approx. 30 km north on
Highway 11 from town of North Bay.
With the great help of other birders from the Ottawa area, we were able to

The gull was easily found at the Merrickville landfill at 11:40 am today.
Sign in at gate required and you must stay away from active dumping areas
Take Hwy 11 about 20 km N of North Bay and turn right on Sand Dam Road for
3 km to dum

I just got word that the pedestrian bridge is now open, so should save you some
time and energy if you are going for it. It is currently on the lake side of
the road between the 4th and 3rd last speed bumps.

Hello everyone,
I just received a text from Luc Fazio that the Boreal Chickadee is present
today. Please note that the pedestrian bridge is closed so you will have to
walk along the edikement road. The bird is near the spruces at Peninsula B.
