Birders,
December 1 marked the first day of winter listing, the period of time running
until February 28. I will be compiling the winter bird list in Ontario again
this year. Approximately 348 species of birds have been recorded in Ontario
during the winter period, with 200 to 220 species typi
The bird was active today along the west side gravel path south of the speed
bumps towards the lighthouse from Peninsula B. It was calling periodically and
feeding with chickadees and kinglets, often in the goldenrod.
TTP is at the foot of Leslie St in Toronto and the bird is at about Km 4

This evening, a group of us had 7 Little Gulls among 1400 Bonaparte's on the
flyby at Niagara on the Lake.
We viewed adjacent to the Sailing Club.

For those in the park, the Kiskadee called 5 times just south of the
maintenance area at 3:45. We haven’t seen it though.

Just a quick update on today’s sighting. The bird was first seen about 11:45 by
Joanne and Margo Does at the start of the Marsh Trail. It was low on a branch
above the “pond” on the right side of the trail. This is exactly where it
roosted throughout September and October/Nov
Unbelievable!! I saw and photographed the bird just now at the start of the
Marsh trail in Rondeau. Sunny and 12 degrees. Winter bird!!
