Subject: [NWObirds] Sprague's Pipit in Rainy River
To: NWO Birds <nwobi...@googlegroups.com>

NWO Birders,

This morning on Ontario Birds Discord Geoff Carpentier and Peter Hogenbirk
reported they have found a Sprague's Pipit in Rainy River.

The bird is apparently in the field on the southeast corner of Gouliquer Rd
and Hwy 619 in the Rainy River District. It is doing aerial flight displays
and they mention they have heard it sing 40 or 50 times already. They have
yet to get photos or further documentation beyond hearing the song. This
location, just south of Spruce Islands Provincial Nature Reserve, is where
a number of Dickcissels were last year.

Such an excellent find! Good luck to any who try to see and it.

Cheers,
Barb Charlton
