Birders,
A Dickcissel was singing at one of my stops on the Kingsville BBS I ran
Saturday, June 24. The male sang persistently from a dead tree in a hedgerow
approx. 1 km west of Ferris Road halfway between Concession 4 and Concession 5
approximately 3 km NE of Harrow, as the crow flies.
At 5:45 pm on August 18 1 Red Knot at Keith McLean Conservation Area in company
with small group shorebirds on mudflat. Seen from tower. Scope necessary.
Keith McLean Conservation Area is on east side of Kent Bridge Road approx 0.25
km north of By the Bay B and approx 1 km north of Rondeau
A probable Mottled Duck was observed at Keith McLean Conservation Area on Kent
Bridge Road approximately 1 km north of the road into Rondeau Provincial Park.
The bird was observed at a distance under not the greatest light conditions
from the observation tower at 6:00 pm on May 1.
