Currently there is a lone American Avocet in the flooded field along Mersea
road 21 south and road 2 Hillman Marsh.

ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists (OFO) - the
At 7:30 this evening I found a basic plumaged American Avocet along the Couture
Dyke in the eastern part of Hillman Marsh, Essex County. Crappy digiscoped
photos taken. It is still present now at dusk.
The Couture dyke is accessed from the south side of Mersea Road 2, east of the
bridge.

Michael Tate saw 35 American Avocets today in the shorebird cell at
Hillman Marsh.
Hillman Marsh is located on County Road #20 just northeast of Point
Pelee National Park. South of Highway 3 and west of Wheatley. Follow
signs for Esse x CA to the main entrance
Tonight (April 27) around 6:45, there were 14 American Avocets present at
the north end of the Shorebird Cell.

Sandhill Crane - 1
