Hello birders: The Barnacle Goose at Schomberg Lagoons has been showing well
for the last 4 days, including today Sunday. I have made several trips and have
not yet missed it! Enjoy the Video ( specially if you cannot make it to see
it )
The bird is still in the pond. Visible from the viewing platform in the
parking lot.

Very nearly middle of pond. Open water is east of Bird.
Can be seen from observation deck and from road beside pond.
Directions.
Hwy 27 south of hwy 9, go south on 27, left on dillane rd (Dr McKay rd). Trisan
Centre.
Parking lot Is on

to pick it out on the water while there was (barely) enough
The goose is continuing as of 2:50pm in the pond at 6665 19th Sideroad,
Schomberg. Currently not in view as it is hugging the bank closest to the road.

viewing deck. It is sleeping in the ice.

The Barnacle Goose is currently on a hill on private property but visible from
Little Rebel Road. Park on the road by the stream and look for a flock of 85
Canadas on the far side. It is in the left side of the group

For information about
Rich Poort just called to say the bird is still in the area. It was last seen
behind #1682 Hwy 27, north of Hwy 9.
I believe that there is a very good chance that the Barnacle Goose will return
to the Schomberg Sewage lagoons later today with the large flock of Canada
Goose that it is
