Just before noon today I saw a Greater White-fronted Goose in low flight over Island Lake, on the west side of the York-Durham townline (Road 30) just south of Aurora Road. It may have just taken off from the far (west) side of the island in the small lake/large pond, and may still be in the area. Also on Island Lake were about 150 Caada Geese and 6 (escaped?) domestic Chinese Geese, but the one in flight was definitely not a Chinese Goose. Will upload a report/photo later today on e-bird.
