I am working on an article for OFO News about how social media is impacting how we report and identify birds in Ontario. Could anyone who has the following information or thoughts pls email me privately at geoff.carpent...@gmail.com? It is important that you not reply to the Ontbirds membership but rather privately to me - thank-you. What Facebook pages, websites, phone trees, electronic bulletin boards, periodic email updates (e.g. Presqu'ile, Hamilton and Kingston), list serves (e.g. Ontbirds), chat lines, or blogs are you aware of that are used to share birding information in Ontario? Can you provide a link to the site pls? How do you use these sites to report bird sightings, share photographs or identify birds? Are they helpful? How do you think social media has impacted the reporting and sharing of information? What aspects are negative or positive and why?
