Just had a grey morph Gyrfalcon on Wolfe Island. 7th concession, about 150
meters south of Bennett Road. It was exceptionally large to the eye; even
slightly larger than a Red-tailed Hawk. It hunted a Canada Goose, taking
several stabs at it!
Good birding,
Jon
Our birding group was just treated to a spectacular view of an adult gray
morph Gyr hunting Mallards. It was a beast of a bird; essentially
raven-sized. We are on the Kingston ferry, heading over to Wolfe Island.
The bird split the Mallard flock right in front of us! It was unseccesful
in its hunt
