Now I am warm and can send more details. The bird showed twice for a minute or two each time. It was visiting feeders at the house next door (north) to where originally reported (1265 Fellows Road). There are millet feeders at the house.
The best place to stand is under the big willow tree behind 1265 Fellows. Please stay out of site of the house as much as possible to give them their privacy. Standing here allows the bird to come and go without disturbance (although you must walk past the bird to get there). I suspect it was being kept off the feeders from where we were standing before. Access: park on Parkway or other side streets. Please make sure cars are all on the same side so traffic can get through. Walk east of Parkway on Iris to the first bus shelter. The trail is just beyond the shelter. Follow the trail about 200m to the feeders. -- Jeff Skevington, Research Scientist Canadian National Collection of Insects, Arachnids and Nematodes Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada 960 Carling Avenue, K.W.
