  The Buffalo Bird Report is a service provided by your
  Buffalo Museum of Science and the Buffalo Ornithological
  Society. To contact the Science Museum, call 896-5200. Press
  the pound key to report sightings before the end of this
  report.

  Highlights of Niagara Frontier reports from June and early
  July.

  June 13, an AMER. WHITE PELICAN at the mouth of Johnson
  Creek, on Lake Ontario in Orleans County.

  At the Coast Guard Station in Buffalo, July 3, three FISH
  CROWS at the lighthouse park.

  July 4 at the Tillman Wildlife Management Area in Clarence,
  two pairs of UPLAND SANDPIPERS, 5 GRASSHOPPER SPARROWS and
  PURPLE FINCH.

  Other highlights - one, possibly two, pairs of nesting RED-
  HEADED WDPKRS. in Angola in Erie County. MERLINS - two
  adults with four fledged young in a Buffalo neighborhood.
  BARRED OWLS - a pair with two young in Fort Erie, Ontario.
  And, a SCARLET TANAGER at a feeder at Sunset Beach in
  Orleans County.

  86 species counted during a week of camping at Allegany
  State Park. Highlights were COMMON MERGANSER with 11 young,
  D.-CREST. CORMORANT, seven OSPREY nests, BLACK-BILLED
  CUCKOO, BARRED OWL, 5 ACADIAN FLYCATCHERS, COMMON RAVEN, an
  unexpected BANK SWALLOW, RED-BR. NUTHATCH, and 17 warbler
  species including 4 LA. WATERTHRUSHES, 3 NORTHERN PARULAS
  and a PINE WARBLER.

  Also reported - NORTHERN MOCKINGBIRD nesting at the Small
  Boat Harbor on the Buffalo waterfront. WARBLING VIREO in a
  Snyder neighborhood. And, BALD EAGLE over Orchard Park.

  The Bird Report will be updated Thursday evening, July 14.
