The recent exchanges about reporting rarities to ONTBIRDS have pointed
out two things:
a) the more details given about a rarity in a post, the greater the
possibility that the bird will be found again;
b) it is always necessary to be a bit careful how we word things so as
not to give offence to other ONTBIRDERS.
What and how to post is a judgment call that the poster must make. In
fairness it should be mentioned that recent reports from the Niagara
River supplied useful information, there can always be more but...
