Posting on behalf of Justin White who saw this bird today (4th July). He
sent me a photo confirming ID as an adult in breeding plumage.

American Avocet
On the sand spitĀ straight out from the GM platform. The same area the previous
avocet was.
Other highlights: Little Gulls, Least Sandpiper, and Glaucous Gull
Directions Exit from the 401 at the Harmony Rd. Exit(419) in Oshawa. Go south on
Farewell St. Colonel Sam Drive.
Rayfield Pye and myself are currently looking at an american avocet on the
sandspit straight out from the gm platform 810am

a number of birders looked for this bird this morning not seeing it goes behind
the inland and disappears .. so be patent its there some wear .
