Good morning birders,
We had a large number of newly arrived warblers and other birds in the park
this morning, many singing. Most areas of the park seem very productive.
A Connecticut Warbler was heard only this morning on Harrison Trail about
100 m north of the visitor centre.
Yellow-throated
On a tip from jake Munroe I stopped at second marsh on the way to work this
morning.
1-marbled Godwit straight out off platform.
Lots of habitat and shorebirds happening now.
The marsh can be found by taking Harmony exit off 401. Drive south on Farewell

Turn left onto wentworth.
It appears that my Ontbirds post at 9:30 this morning did not go out.

The Tip was slow this morning

Sorry, I thought I sent out a report earlier this afternoon when Bonnie Kinder
and I were watching the Marbled Godwit at approx. 1:30 p.m. straight out from
the viewing platform way out near the back of the marsh. A scope was
absolutely mandatory!!
Three Whimbrels were also present along with
44 Whimbrel, 3 Willets, 3 White-rumped Sandpipers here now.
Earlier, a Peregrine went through at about 3:45 and flushed everything out of
the shorebird cell. Birds are trickling back including Whimbrel, Willets,
White-rumps, Black-bellied Plovers, Short-billed Dowitchers and lots more.
