Hello Birders.
This morning there was a GYRFALCON perched on Kettle
Point.
It was spooked by the local pair of BALD EAGLES and flew off towards
Grand Bend. Lambton County.

THEDFORD IS VERY CLOSE TO THE PINERY PARK.
For the first time this Fall I went towards the GRAND BEND SEWAGE LAGOONS.

While in CHURCHILL, MANITOBA , I noticed LONG-TAIiLED JAEGERS leaving the area
on 17th of June. They were climbing high and heading South.
Since then They have been sighted at K.Pt. during nice weather flying past
Kettle Point about 15 feet above the water and dipping down to pick up items

The East wind at his time of year frustrates birds
heading SE from our Arctic. So it was today.
At 12noon there was a very large flock of COMMON TERNS. 50+ flew down past
Kettle Point on Lake Huron
The exciting thing was that the flock held at least 8 ARC

This morning there were close to 10,000
Slate-coloured Juncos seen on Kettle Point. By noon most had dispersed.
This is the heaviest movement found in over 50 years of birding here.

Hi Birders.
One of the local SANDHILL CRANE pairs has returned to Kettle
Point during the last two days.
There are several pairs in this part of Lambton and Middlesex counties but the
areas will not be mentioned.

of SANDHILL CRANES are getting ready to nest again.

sitting on the small reef.
A short but heavy squall moved them away from the shorelimne. No photos
because it was dull and I have lots from Churchill. Manitoba.

As unlikely as it seems, because Arctics follow the
east and western coastlines, there were at least 12 off Kettle Point this
morning.
There are several Forsters, and Common Terns and 2 Little Gulls but this
mornings highlight were the 12 or more ARCTIC

There are 3 WHITE PELCANS Resting on the Cape Ipperwash
Reef here.
3 days ago there were eight reported.
K.Pt is 8 miles due north of Forest off Highway 21..
