Hello birders; Earlier today, my son Justin alerted me to a Canvasback, hanging out on the west side of Mill Pond in Hillsburgh. It was resting about 40 feet off shore at the time. It was best viewed from the Elora Cataract Trail shoreline, just past the parking lot heading northbound on the trail. This can be accessed along Station St. west of Trafalgar, Rd. (past the fire station), in Hillsburgh. Hillsburgh is approximately 20 minutes north of Georgetown on Trafalgar Rd. or 20 minutes south west of Orangeville. I have since learned the bird has been seen on this pond since at least March 25.
Good birding. Paloma Plant _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists (OFO) - the provincial birding organization.
