Hello Birders,I observed 6 drake Shovelers in a mixed flock of Mallards and Gadwall in the small ponds behind the main parking lot. They seemed quite settled so would imagine they'll be around for a few more days at least.Also large numbers of Hooded Mergansers sprinkled around the Bay and in the
Northern shovelers and ruddy ducks at Ridgetown lagoon - Erie Street North to
Mitton Line turn left, 500 meters, entrance on right

This afternoon a trip to the Grimsby Lagoons produced the following
birds:AMERICAN ROBIN, NORTHERN CARDINALS, DARK EYED JUNCOS,
BLACK-CAPPED CHICKADEES, DOWNY WOODPECKERS, NORTHERN SHOVELERS (furthest
lagoon), BUFFLEHEADS, LESSER SCAUPS, and MALLARDS.
