All else being equal, centralized payment systems that require trust will
be more efficient and thus cheaper than public permissionless systems. If
you need cheap censorship resistance the best option at the moment is less
popular cryptocurrencies such as litecoin, but they're unlikely to remain
cheap forever. Long term the solution will be to use second layer solutions
such as Lightning Network.
