I always supplement. I have used MLS tubs which are mollasess based

awhile to use up if your sheep are eating good quality hay etc. Or Kent
brand loose mineral. And I use a protein block from Ragland Mills in

I use a loose sheep mineral, one that has no copper in it. Yes it is
outrageously expensive, but my sheep don't eat much of it very fast
so it lasts a long time (a bag every year or so). In contrast, when I
used a mineral block, they ate it like candy because of the molasses
that glued
Carol,
What immediately comes to mind is too much protein in the diet, unless there
is a disease present. Can we find out what the ewe has been eating?? Sorry

I had one do that last year and come to find out the baby could not get the

and then I held her and the baby, I had help, and got baby nursing. Could not

I mix it with mineral at the rate of 1 oz to 1 qt oil, then with a 1/8
inch hole in the cap of a squeeze bottle, apply a line from the back of
the head to the tail right down the center of the back. I have also
mixed 1 oz to 1 gallon and sprayed them, but the mineral oil works the
best. I

We have also had a ram lamb born with no horns to a ewe with scurs and our

didn't want him breeding anything here. Nancy

A shot of oxytocin (from vet - this is an RX med) (sp?) will make her let

to be treated for the infection. Did she pass her afterbirth ok? Does she have
a bad discharge from the birth
