Cathy:
Thanks for the referral on that guy. I sold him 80 lambs as I remember.
I have 20 less than I thought, I really do not know how we arrived at
the original count. It all worked out well though, as I have nto had
any wheat pasture this year and am feeding oat hay and prairie hay to

Crystal. Some amusing pictures of me pondering the same thing a few
months ago. Turned out to be a big non-event. They basically just
chase the newer, smaller ram, and try to mount him.

Thank you Cecil and Carol,
Yes, I have thrown Thor on his back already and Carol is probably right, he
is in for a good lesson from the adult rams. Thor is one of the twins who
is lucky to be alive. Their mom was so sick I almost lost her and these
lambs weighed 4 & 5 lbs at birth. Zeus w
Cathy, when I wean my ram lambs , they go straight into the ram pen
with the adult rams. I think they learn at a young age who the
dominant ram is and it reduces fighting in the long run. The adult
rams don't consider the ram lambs as any threat and thus don't harm them.
I know that doesn't he
Grab his horns when he charges and flip him over on his back. Afte the
second time he will keep his distance. I have one who is also a bottle
fed ram and sometimes he is just playing, but I am not as hard headed as
he is.

rams weigh between approximately 135-170 lbs. He meets me at the gate
