IMO, windows should only snap to visible _borders_.
As far as implementation goes... I'm not familiar with the bb source, or
C/C++. :)
A behaviour like that would make sense, but I picture it as hard to
implement. I've been thinking about it for a while now and I'm not sure
I can see how it
I've written two different implementations of a snap-to-window
behaviour, but right now I have a problem I don't quite know how to deal
with. As it is now a window doesn't care about how the other windows are
layered and will snap to the closest window, even if the closest window
is all covered.

Hello
What if I'd like to start a program in workspace #3 while I 'am' in #1. The
thing is that I'd like xmms to start in .xinitrc but to start in workspace #3
instead of the current.
Another thing is thet I want some programs to start fullscreen. Is that up to
the program or has
Basically, I'd like to always be able to see the slit, so when I
maximize a window, it _does not_ maximize over the slit, it maximizes around
it.
I think I might have the cure. A patch for a behaviour something like
that.
The new 0.62.0 patch is found here:
Here's my patch that prevents windows in Blackbox from maximizinbg over
the slit. Use at your own risk, but I do hope it's working properly.

I'm trying to build the latest Blackbox version on Slackware 7.1.
checking for (sys/)signal.h ... (cached) not found
param.h is also not found.
Do you guys think that's why i get such compiling errors?
BaseDisplay.cc: 240: type 'sigaction' is not yet defined
or what's wrong?
Has anyone here run Blackbox making use of the X Xinerama extension? I'm
a little interested in trying this out, and would like to here if
someone's had experience with it. I suppose Blackbox isn't especially
Xinerama aware, judging from the Xinerama-HOWTO, so I'm foremostly
intersted in knowing
