Sorry, to be clearer:
Text is not selecting in any application.
Failure to trigger QS actions seems unrelated to failure to beep - it's not
beeping in Safari or Word, but it's not selecting anywhere.
It's only text I'm trying to select, not files or folders.
Thanks,
Adam

I did some testing in both 1.1.3 and 1.2.0. (A lot has changed with
Current Selection between the two.) They behave the same for me. That
is, I can select text from any application
How to get it to scan PDF, EXCEL and Word files.
Is there a way to make it scan PDF, Excel and Word files - and Pages files
on iCloud ?
if not direct, then perhaps via automator ?

I'd like not to have to leave QS/the keyboard after trashing a file/files,
and then empty the trash securely. Currently I choose files and trash them
in QS then mouse to the trash and mouse Empty securely.Running QS 1.0.0
(4000) on Snow Leopard.

No to both of those questions.
I've just noticed something though - all the triggers work when I select a
file or folder. It's only text that's not working.
