Quicksilver has only ever learnt based on what you type. It cannot predict what action you want to run on certain objects (although it would be nice) If you want 'open with' to be a higher priority than large time (for all files) then you need to go to the actions preferences and drag the 'open

Quicksilver on Yosemite
