Today I started the rather daunting task of building Xorg and a desktop.
I decided to put Xorg in /opt/X and adjusted the variables as per the
BLFS book instructions, like so:
[asteriskk@l-bean:~$ echo $XORG_PREFIX
/opt/X
[asteriskk@l-bean:~$ echo $XORG_CONFIG
--prefix=/opt/X --sysconfdir=/etc
