You can check if aclocal is available on your system by just typing aclocal

Those environment variables that you setup with EXPORT disappear when you

o I am not sure if I can skip forward to
install shadow, find a solution for this PAM problem and reinstall shadow
again after solving that.

Hello John,
I have found another solution. Suddenly I remembered that the lfs 7.0
errata told that Glibc does not install RPC or NIS headers, that are
required by some blfs packages, mainly nfs.
For using these headers some copies from glibc's source directory to
/usr/include/rpc and /usr/include
Hello
I'm attempted installing shadow-4.1.4.3, however, running make results in
gcc: error: /lib64/libpam_misc.so: No such file or directory
gcc: error: /lib64/libpam.so: No such file or directory.
etc etc.
The last step from Linux-PAM is:
if [ -L /lib/libpam.so ]; then
for LINK in libpam{,c
la /usr/lib &&
sed -i 's| /lib| /usr/lib|' /usr/lib/libpam_misc.la
And I guess everything would have been allright if the path assigned to
libdir was prefixed with a leading whitespace.
Am I right on this?

and stability of the resulting builds in the future.
Thanks.

lib64' in
/usr/lib64/libpam{,c,_misc}.la this solved the issue.
Thanks for pointing in the right direction.

adding --disable-manpages to the configure arguments makes the build
succesfull. This is a very weird and uncommon thing in my point of view,
make that requires internet access.
Anyways, after all of this, I did get colord-0.1.21 to build and install, I
hope this info is of any use for you.
