My guess here is that most blind users were using Image for Windows version 1.xxx because if you go to the website for this product you will notice they have Version 2.24 made available on February 7, 2009. So can a user use this new version with a screen reader? They have a 30 day treal.

Downloaded Recuva 1.23 slim version and it works with JAWS 10. The slim version installs no toolbar. Less junk the better. I was originally using version 1.09. The interface has changed is much better now. Read the user guide. Only negative I found in my brief testing and this was the case
