If you’ve been to the core, you should have the sample.
In order to find the resivoir you need to look each time you hear an opening.
It’ll take a while, but you can find it.

Question, I for the life of me cannot recall how to end the massive tree quest.

I have duncans book, I have been to the prison, the core, and the sap
and water veins, flipped the switch in the water one but cannot
remember how to get the water to the tree or how to get
Like hotel hitting space for everything may not be the best option.
Instead of cycling between the options you should be told to press r p
or s or numbers 1 2 or 3 whatever you want.
Some speech with introduction and a few other things will repeat when
you hit space.

My Quest log still has the quest called Balance or something like that
